MOBILE PHONE
It means business
And looks hot doing so

If a big business phone is to a tall burly expat in a stuffy suit, the Nokia E51 is that bombshell in the office in a killer tight power suit and sexy heels—who happens to be your boss.

The phone looks better in your hands than in photos with its stainless steel front cover and back cover coupled with amply sized matte keys, not to mention a slim housing. There are also four customizable shortcut keys for the menu, calendar, contacts, and messaging function.

But even better than its looks is its brains. Its Nokia Team Suite lets you organize conference calls and group email or text messages. The note-taking feature has also been tweaked, allowing photos, voice recording, and even videos to be attached to your reminders. Even its organizer resembles a PDA, which supports different types of views from monthly to hourly, with a field allotted for each entry. Also, its Quickoffice applications can open—but not edit—Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files. It likewise supports Adobe Reader and a Zip manager for extracting files. And you can use all these while making a phone call.

But probably one of the E51's best features is thanks to its built-in WLAN. It features a voice over IP Internet call (VoIP) function, which in lay man's terms means you can make free Internet phone calls when you're in a Wi-Fi hotspot.

All these on their own already comprise a business phone to reckon with—without even mentioning FM radio, multimedia player, xHTML/HTML Internet browser, brilliant screen, and built-in 2-megapixel camera. Chrissy D. Icamina

Did you know?
One way to check if you've purchased an original Nokia phone is if it's got a tamper-proof Type label at the back of each unit along with the NTC logo and the Type acceptance number as part of a sticker. There is also a Nokia tamper-proof warranty seal at the back of the mobile phone.
